Distortion bag, Bao Bao Issey Miyake + N & R Foldings
The Distortion bag is a collaboration between Bao Bao Issey Miyake and N&R Foldings. The two have come together to create this origami-inspired bag. Sequence pieces are transformed into a three dimensional structure with this new method of fabrication.
N&R Foldings is a London/Tokyo based Design studio founded by Rodri- go Solorzano and Naoki Kawamoto. With a particular interest in digital generation and digital fabrication, N&R’ s work draws inspiration from origami and its functional capabilities. This has led them to the creation of articulated surfaces that offer solutions to a variety of products.
