Urban Life
Coruzzi on his process:
I use printmaking with mixed media, because art is reality like any other: layered, textural, contro- versial, open to imagination, colorful, personal, inspiring. I consider myself a painter caged into printmaking. Each print I make is melted into a painting in order to create a unique piece. Each artwork is an idea and each idea is a unique element. It’s a bit like reality itself. Art can be good or bad, interesting or boring, but it’s always unique.
Maria Vinella on Coruzzi:
Provocative and ironic, Fabio Coruzzi’s language describes scenarios of social criticism, reflecting almost specularly the cultural reality of our metropolitan society, sandwiched, as he says, “between concrete and the asphalt”. Anonymous figures, chaotic spaces, urban life’s scenes, women and men in their working environment… life flows incessantly within Fabio Coruzzi’s work and the author become a faithful witness of it.
